About Permanent Facial Hair Removal

Unwanted Facial Hair Remover Leaves Behind Smooth, Soft Skin

Brooke Werner was tired of the waxing or threading routine to rid her face of unwanted hair. The 36 year old market analyst wanted to explore permanent facial hair removal. And by that she meant laser treatments.

"I was looking for an unwanted facial hair remover that more or less would keep me out of the facial hair removal products aisle at the store. And out of the seat with a waxing appointment at my salon," said Werner. "A permanent facial hair remover meant more time to do other things. Which for me came down to lasers."

There are a few things to keep in mind when exploring these kinds of treatments however.

For one, even though there have been improvements, lasers work best on dark hair growing on light skin. That's because the light energy emitted hones in on the pigment in the hair follicle. It then damages the follicle - inhibiting future growth.

"However I found out that," Brooke went on, "the latest generation of gentler, longer-wavelength lasers offer safe and effective treatment for all skin colors. But you'd still be wise to ask about effectiveness in your case before signing on the dotted line."

You also shouldn't expect to end up 100% hairless. "While close to a permanent facial hair remover, no one can guarantee laser treatments will deliver total hair removal," Werner cautioned. "I my case a few pale, downy. next-to-unnoticeable hairs still live on my upper lip."

"Laser treatments for permanent facial hair removal may not be for everyone. But for me it was worth it. I'm delighted with the outcome," Brooke concluded.
