Ways to Combat Your Unwanted Facial Hair

Truly, facial hair is a topic thought best left alone. Unmentioned. You might not even bring it up with your best friend, much less your mother.

But there is it. Front and center. Hard to hide or to get away from the fact that it's there in plain sight. And it seems to be getting worse not better. Awwwk!

Luckily most women generally don't have problems with facial hair. Not for all though because some women do grow a noticeable amount that is more than just mere peach fuzz. Now this may become a major source of embarrassment. So before anyone else will ridicule you for having facial hair, you better do the necessary action. Here are the different methods of facial hair removal for women that can help you get up to speed on your choices.

Waxing
Perhaps this is one of the most common methods of facial hair removal for women. It's easy, cheap, and convenient. This involves applying hot wax onto the target area and then pulling the hair out from the skin layer. Your skin will usually stay smooth and free from hair within 3-6 weeks.

Sugaring
This is a great alternative to waxing because it is much less painful. The procedure is similar to waxing, only that you use a sugar base instead of wax.

Tweezing
This is done by using a tweezer to pull the hair out. It's easy yet time-consuming. For easy hair removal, be sure to wash your face first before tweezing.

Threading
This is another convenient method of facial hair removal for women. It involves rolling a piece of thread on unwanted hair. Hair may grow back after 2-6 weeks after threading.

Depilatories
These is a wide selection of facial hair removal cream made of substances that can dissolve hair. Prescription creams can be pricey. Over the counter options are cheaper but can cause skin irritation for some people. Hair grows back within 3-6 weeks.

Lasers
A more expensive method for removing facial hair, laser treatment involves flashing a laser beam onto the target area to destroy the hair follicles. Contrary to what others say, laser treatment will only reduce hair growth and not permanently keep hair from growing. But close counts when it comes to hair removal. And many find this is close enough to permanent to view it that way.

Electrolysis
This is the only FDA-approved method of permanent facial hair removal for women. It involves electric current destroying the hair follicles. A number of sessions may be necessary to see favorable results.

Note that shaving didn't make the list. That's because as you've heard whispered in hushed tones by those brave enough to broach this topic, shaving will only increase the thickness of the problem. Making it overall worse while not lessening it's impact in the least.

Many women find themselves plagued with unwanted facial hair. You know that they likely have it, or may well face it sooner or later. Yet as you can see there are ways to combat it. You just want to choose the method you think will suit you best.
